“Long pimpled rubber for variation and ease in attacking”

A long pimpled rubber with unexpected variety of rotations as the pimples easily transform on contact.

Absorber Sponge Drop

This sponge was developed for playing with high-grain rubber. Despite its high hardness, it absorbs the power of the ball, allowing for both the ease of use and the ability to change the shape of the ball, which is characteristic of high-grain rubber. When combined with the harder sponge 'Absorber Sponge Drop', the pimples fall more easily, resulting in a high pimple height effect. The 'Ilus B' equipped with this sponge is particularly effective when you want to handle the opponent's ball in the front, such as when blocking the ball short.

Sponge thickness guide

Each rubber has a lineup of multiple sponge thicknesses. Thinner sponge = lighter weight, lower bounce, suited for defensive play. Thicker sponge = heavier weight, higher bounce, suited for offensive play.
