1. About PingGear

PingGear is a free marketplace where table tennis players can buy and sell equipment. It is run as a hobby project by an individual developer, not a registered business. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Who can use the service

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.

3. Role of PingGear

PingGear only hosts listings and forwards messages between buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction. We do not hold funds, ship goods, verify condition, or guarantee any listing. All deals, payments and shipping are arranged directly between the buyer and the seller.

4. Your listings and content

  • You must own the item you list, or have permission to sell it.
  • Listings must be accurate — condition, specs, photos, and price must describe the actual item.
  • You may not list counterfeit goods, stolen goods, or anything illegal where you or the buyer are located.
  • You keep ownership of the content you post, but you grant PingGear a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute it as needed to run the marketplace.

5. Prohibited behaviour

  • No harassment, hate speech, or threats in messages or listings.
  • No scraping, automated bulk access, or attempts to break, overload, or probe the site.
  • No spam, off-platform solicitation, or trying to move buyers off PingGear before a sale completes.
  • No posting personal contact details of other users without consent.

We may remove listings, messages, or accounts that violate these rules, without prior notice.

6. Messaging

All buyer–seller communication happens through the in-app messaging system. Messages are stored to operate the service, handle disputes, and prevent abuse. Do not share passwords, payment card numbers, or government ID data through messages.

7. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. We do not warrant any listing or user. Use the service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, PingGear and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or losses that arise from transactions between users. You are responsible for your own sales, purchases, and shipments.

9. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms, that pose a security risk, or that are inactive for an extended period. Deleting your account removes your listings and profile; messages may be retained briefly for dispute resolution before being anonymised.

10. Privacy

Your personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. The current version always lives at this URL with its "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the new terms.
